City (walking) tour guided by a specialist. This tour includes a visit to Morro Castle, guardian of Havana Harbor and Cabaña Fortress which constituted part of the fortification defense and attack system of the Spanish colony on the island and from where a magnificent view of the city and the port is afforded.
Visit to Finca Vigia, located in the Havana suburb of San Francisco de Paula. Ernest Hemingway’s home in Cuba from 1939 to 1960. A feeling of a lived-in house is created by having left all his possessions in the same place as when he lived the house.
Visit to Cojimar town and lunch. This little seaboard town is known for harboring Hemingway’s boat El Pilar and as inspiring scenery for his Nobel Prize winning Novel The Old Man and the Sea.
Return to the city and tour of Modern Havana. A visit to the once modern urban quarters and radiating avenues dotted with iconic monuments and eclectic style buildings.
Visit to the Fine Arts Museum. The Palace of Fine Arts is entirely given over to Cuban art. An exquisite and vast collection housed by a Rationalist building with an accomplished integration between architecture and sculpture.
